A scheduling restriction is intended to prevent a second MOT from being booked at the same time as a waiting MOT, helping retailers avoid overlapping MOT bookings when a customer is waiting.

Vehicle model codes — Enhancement

An optional DMS Model Code field supports more specific model coding when creating vehicles. Where possible, exsto Bookings prepopulates the field using the DVLA short model description and an OEM-specific mapping table. If no match is found, users must select the most appropriate code before creating the vehicle.

Participating retailers will need to configure the required model and variant codes in their DMS during setup. [confirm required variant code] Retailers who do not opt in retain the existing generic-code behaviour. Existing vehicle codes and the handling of non-franchise brands remain unchanged.
